The New Security Technology

We are excited to announce a new security technology we can now offer our members — the EMV chip card for Platinum and Business cards. These cards provide a decrease in fraud due to the higher security measures.

Bringing Global Security to the U.S.

They may be new in the United States, however other countries have already begun seeing a noticeable difference in fraud occurrence. Credit card fraud is on the rise in the United States. The NASDAQ reported that 31.8 million consumers had their cards breached in 2014. We strive to give our members peace of mind and we know it is what you have come to expect.

The EMV chip card is accepted globally and works the same as your current Platinum or Business card. The only exception is the embedded microchip located in the card. The card can be used at chip-enabled ATMs and other terminals for added security. Don't worry if you cannot find a chip-enabled ATM — our cards will work at most any ATM or terminal.

Important Information About Procedures For Opening A New Account: To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means to you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents. The information that is being requested and observed is for compliance with the requirements of Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act related to implementing customer identification and verification requirements.
