Assistant Branch Manager


To direct and coordinate the activities of personnel in a remote Credit Union facility, aiding the Branch Manager in ensuring the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Monitors branch office operations to ensure that security procedures are being followed and that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Assists in training new branch personnel dependent on position and monitors performance. Encourages and supports the efforts of team members.
  • Explains services to potential consumer and commercial account customers to generate additional business and to promote positive public relations.
  • Reviews documents prepared by subordinate personnel, such as savings bond applications and safe deposit vault entry and exit records to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assists subordinate personnel in balancing daily transactions; examine, evaluate, and process loan applications in absence of subordinate personnel.
  • Resolves account-related concerns with customers.
  • Evaluates all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established Credit Union policies, procedures, and objectives; recommends changes to manager.
  • Manages branch office in absence of manager.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

  • Assist manager in maintaining a cohesive, highly trained, motivated staff sufficient to meet daily branch demands.
  • Actively promote an environment where credit union policies and procedures are carefully followed by your direct reports.
  • Coach and develop skills of your co-workers as directed by a Manager to identify opportunities to cross sell products and services for the betterment of the member's financial well-being.
  • Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
  • Keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the branch.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.

Other Skills: Able to operate a 10-key calculator and computer keyboard.

Call Center & Card Services Representative


The Call Center & Card Services Representative ensures that members are promptly and professionally served by providing information and customer service concerning the credit union and its products and services to credit union members via telephone and/or email. They are responsible for assisting members with issues they may have with their debit cards.


  • Service member's personal financial needs as they relate to payment systems activities (ATM, VISA, Direct Deposit, etc.) in a pleasant and professional
  • Cross sell credit union products and services to provide high quality member service and reach credit union goals and objectives
  • Ensure that members' requests and questions are promptly and thoroughly resolved over the phone or via other communication methods
  • Research and resolve member inquiries regarding account statements, disputes, and monetary adjustments
  • Process file maintenance requests such as name changes, ordering/reordering of cards, card PIN resets, and requests to close accounts
  • Process monetary adjustments and reverse fees or fines
  • Assist members with remote access
  • Mail, fax, or e-mail new member applications, loan applications and/or information to members and prospective members
  • Ensure that the Credit Union's culture is maintained and projected
  • Work effectively without constant and direct supervision or guidance
  • Demonstrate flexibility in the face of change
  • Project a positive demeanor regardless of changes in working conditions or member situations
  • Display proficiency using standard office equipment such as a computer, fax, photocopier, scanner, etc.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency by quickly adapting to new technology and easily acquiring new technical skills
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • All other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service environment preferred
