Chief Financial Credit Union supports community partner Gilda's Club Metro Detroit
Rochester Hills, Michigan, October 1, 2016 – Chief Financial Credit Union was honored to be the first ever Presenting Sponsor of Bras for a Cause. The fabulous, fun and uplifting evening at the Royal Oak Music Theatre featured beautiful, courageous and inspirational breast cancer survivors who took to the catwalk for the 8thannual art bra fashion show and strolling dinner auction.
Inspired by Shannon Watson who lost her battle with breast cancer at age 29, 100% of the proceeds went to benefit Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit, a long-time community partner of Chief Financial. Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit is an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community and offers support for those touched by cancer to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
The evening featured musical performances by Steve Taylor, the artwork of performance artist/speed painter Dave Santia and live and silent auctions of experiences and items, including creative and beautiful art bras modeled by breast cancer survivors.
Chief Financial continuously illustrates their commitment to being so much more than money with their support of community organizations like Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit and events like Bras for a Cause. In an effort to further achieve their goal to inspire strategic partnerships between their employees, members and community partners, Chief Financial has gone pink and is collecting donations throughout October at all branch locations to further benefit Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit and contribute to the support of those who are affected by cancer.
