Credit union ‘picking up the coffee’ at Birmingham Roast for first 500 guests on October 9

Rochester Hills, MI - Chief Financial Credit Union is celebrating the first few months of its newest branch opening in Downtown Birmingham by picking up the community’s drinks at Birmingham Roast on October 9. The credit union is paying $5 of every purchase for the first 500 guests.

“We love working with our neighbors and are so excited that Chief Financial has opened their new branch in downtown,” said Andy Vickers, Birmingham Roast store manager. “When they approached us with the idea of doing something to give back to our customers, we loved their passion to connect with the community.”

Chief Financial Credit Union opened its Birmingham location in June of 2020, offering financial services to Metro Detroit residents, nonprofits and businesses. Chief Financial of Birmingham has already become a community partner to local businesses and nonprofits.

“Throughout the past several months we have seen firsthand the impact of the pandemic on small businesses,” said Ashley Werkmeister, Chief Financial director of business development.   “Now that we’ve had a chance to get settled into our new Birmingham location, we are looking for ways to give back to our business neighbors and the community. A cup of coffee seemed a perfect place to start.”

Chief Financial of Birmingham is located at 189 West Merrill Street. For more information, call (248) 253-7900. Birmingham Roast is located at 525 East Brown Street and is open from 7am-7pm.
