Community Spotlight: Proud Supporter of Guardian Angels
The Chief Financial Management Team became aware of the Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs (GAMSD) organization at the Yellow Ribbon Fund Annual Golf Outing in Rochester Hills this past fall. We heard a Michigan vet suffering with PTSD and his wife tell how a medical service dog completely changed their lives. After hearing the tear-filled, heart-warming story, our CEO, Tom Dluzen, was moved to offer $5000 (in addition to the $10,000 donated to Yellow Ribbon Fund) towards the training of a service dog for another Michigan vet.
It takes over $20,000 to get each Guardian Angel ready to change the life of one of our vets. With the addition of Chief’s $5000, Vito Pampalona (Creator and Chair: Annual Yellow Ribbon Fund Golf Outing) was able to raise the necessary funds at the golf outing to insure another Michigan vet will be matched with a Guardian Angel Medical Service Dog!
